Track the visitors to your website

Types of content for your website

All website pages shoud have a focus on text content. Use photos and video to enhance the text content.

  • Products
  • Services
  • About you (the owner) and/or the company
  • Case studies
  • Testimonials
  • Frequently Asked Questions
  • Should Ask Questions – what questions should your potential clients be asking while shopping around?
  • Summaries of expert articles, with your your opionins and views
  • Blog posts

Creating successful content on your website

  • Each page of content needs to have a single focus – single “keyword”
  • Solve a problem
  • Tell a story
  • Pages with 2000+ words most commonly ranks on page one in Google search results
  • Combine industry jargon AND lay terminology
  • Reference and link to other “experts” in your industry
  • Reference and link to other content on your own website
  • Don’t be overly pitchy, unless the type of content lends to sales
  • Follow and trust the data
    • Create content based on your Google Analytics data
    • Create content based on comments from people who already visit your website

Revisit and revise content regularly

  • When content becomes outdated, update it
  • If your expertise or focus changes or grows, modify your content to reflect your new point of view or new knowledge
  • Update content to address questions that arise from website visitors
